Italy, a country of Southern Europe, situated on two biggest islands in Mediterranean Sea named Sicily and Sardinia. As per the geography of Italy is concerned, it is connected on its side by some of the popular European countries like France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia. As per the Geography of Italy is concerned we know clearly the country falls in Mediterranean Sea. The prominent geographical feature of Italy looks like boot-shaped country which seems to be kicking the island of Sicily. There are ranges of different mountains located throughout the country. There are different mountainous ranges like Dolomite, Apennine and Po Valley. The Dolomite Mountains is stretched across Northern Italy as part of the Alps Mountain range. Apennine Mountains bisects the center of Italy, which stretched from north to south and finally divides the country into east and west5 coasts. The Po Valley, situated just south of the Dolomite Mountains, is just the basin of the Po River. The farm areas in this region are very fertile.
Two Islands of Italy:
There are big islands in Italy. These are Sicily and Sardinia. Sicily is the biggest island in Mediterranean with so many volcanoes and earthquakes. Sardinia is more or less mountains which come out of sea.
