Accommodation in Italy

Italy is the prominent center of tourist attractions of various types. The places of tourist attractions satisfy the tourists of different types and academic background. Every year there has been good number of tourist turnaround to visit the places of tourist attractions in Italy. In order to cater to the rush of tourist traffic there arise the need of hotels for providing accommodation in Italy. As regards the Italian accommodation is concerned there are quite a good number of hotels in that country.

Number of hotels in Italy:
There are around 40,000 hotels located all over Italy. The rates of all the hotels have been fixed as per the guidelines of Provincial Tourist Board. It is found that nearly most of the hotels quote all-inclusive rates, which consists of taxes, service charges, heating or air conditioning. In the component of all inclusive taxes if value added tax is not added, it has to be added. There are some percentage amount stated on which this added. During the off season the hotel rates are lower during the off season. The period of off seasons falls during November to March in main cities and in smaller towns and resort centers April/ May and September/ November at ski resorts. Hotels are divided into six types. These are 5-star Deluxe, 5 Star, 4 Star, 3 Star, 2 Star and I Star.

Hotel Reservations:
There is a specific policy regarding reservations of hotels in Italy. Here the travel offices of the government of Italy are not entitled to book their hotels through government travel offices. Various hotel representatives of Italy who scattered in different parts of the globe are eligible to book hotels for the tourists traveling to Italy.
